PART 1 - LEVEL COMPLETION REQUESTS - what happens when denied If a member completes Pathways level in Basecamp by marking a level complete an email is sent to the home clubs BaseCamp Managers that the request needs action If it is approved, the member gets access to the next level (unless level 5 completed) and an e-certificate is generated If the request is denied on purpose or by accident, the member can request approval of the level completion again. ... by launching the "mark Level Complete" project button in basecamp PART 2 - EXTERNAL REQUESTS If an external training request is denied ... an email is sent to the member if an external training request is declined. The member must submit a new one if they want approval - Know that this entire process is optional. here is an example: Toastmasters Dear Matthew Kleinosky, The vice president education has denied your request to complete an assignment outside of your club. The request was denied on 8/8/2018 5:50:00 PM. To view your external training, visit your Education Transcript on Base Camp. To see any comments left by your vice president education, select View Training Details and look in the Approval History section. Submit another training request by selecting the down arrow on the Options button located in your Education Transcript and then selecting Add External Training. For additional support, watch the Complete My Assignments Overview tutorial. Contact your vice president education or other club officer if you have further questions. Sincerely, Toastmasters International www.toastmasters.org

Denying this requests, in my opinion, should be a 'last-resort' nuclear option. The VPE and the member should be in communication throughout the process so that if there are any issues, they are resolved BEFORE the member submits the request.

indeed. There are reports in Social media of BC Mgrs who have denied requests and reports of accidental disapprovals.
